You Won't Believe Why This 75-Year-Old Grandpa Killed Himself

There was confusion at Oke Ayepe area of Osogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday when family members found the lifeless body of an elderly man, Hassan Adisa, dangling in a store in his residence.
It was gathered that Adisa, 75, had been having issues with a financial institution which gave him a loan facility. He was said to have terminated his life to prevent being ridiculed.
A family source told journalist, who visited the residence, that none of the family members knew the actual amount of money the deceased owed.

Two of his commercial buses were said to have been confiscated by his creditors, while the third bus was found parked in front of the house on Wednesday.

According to the family source, the deceased woke up early and prepared for the morning prayer at a mosque opposite his residence and his relatives were, however, surprised that the septuagenarian did not attend the prayer despite preparing for it.

On returning to the house, the family members headed for his room but did not find him there. Adisa, who was dressed in a black singlet and yellow lace trousers, was said to have be found later dangling on a rope tied to the roof of the storeroom.

Kendrick Lamar Admits Disappointment At Having To Cancel Kanye West 'Yeezus' Tour Shows

It seems Kanye West didn't just disappoint his fans when he cancelled a number of shows on his 'Yeezus' tour with support act Kendrick Lamar admitting he was gutted to miss out on performing in cities including Chicago, Denver and Vancouver.

'New Slaves' rapper Kanye announced last week that he would have to cancel several upcoming shows on the North America and Canadian jaunt after equipment that was pivotal to the show was damaged in a car crash.

While it has now been confirmed that the tour will resume on November 16 in Philadelphia, Kendrick Lamar, who is supporting the rapper on the trek, admits that he was keen to hit the stage in the ill-fated cities.

Speaking to MTV News, Kendrick said: “I was looking forward to them cities man. Now we gotta wait and sit back but I'll go in the studio and put that energy into the booth. But I definitely was looking forward to them cities. Hopefully, we get back on as soon as possible.”

Kolawole Fakokunde, a Nigerian national, is facing up to five years’ imprisonment after he was arrested by immigration officers at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York for trying to enter the U.S illegally.

Fakokunde, who had a valid visitor’s visa on him, was arrested after telling a lie that failed to pan out. He had told U.S. authorities he was headed to Philadelphia to attend the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference. Unfortunately for him, the conference, one of the world’s largest law enforcement gatherings, had been over for about two weeks.

Media reports said the Nigerian arrived in the U.S aboard an Arik Airlines flight, claiming to be a prison guard. But, he later told a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer that someone else “helped him complete his visa application,” in which he falsely claimed to be a prison guard travelling to the U.S. to attend IACP.

Based on the information he provided at the time to the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs in Lagos, Fakokunde was issued a valid visitor’s visa.

Police Inspector and A Driver Killed In Clash; In Yewa South LGA Of Ogun State:

The violence that erupted between the youths of Oke-Odan community in Yewa South LGA of Ogun State and security agents in the area last Monday [Nov. 4] has left two persons dead.

Irate youths in the town had engaged policemen and operatives of the state anti-crime military security outfit, Operation MESA in an exchange of fire over the killing of a member of the community, Yinka Falola.

The violence which had lasted three days culminated in the alleged reprisal killing of a police Inspector, Kolapo Lasisi, on Wednesday [Nov. 6] by some youths who also burnt two police vehicles and vandalised twelve others.

Eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, told PUNCH that violence broke out on Monday afternoon when a police officer attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos, Inspector Olusesan Sounde, allegedly shot and killed 30-year-old Falola.

According to the eyewitness, the FED-SARS inspector had allegedly slapped Falola who was on a motorcycle on his way from the farm. Falola was said to have retaliated, infuriating the police inspector who allegedly cocked his rifle and shot him.

Racist Man kills wife and daughter but spared youngest child because she was 'pure Aryan

A father butchered his partner and their eight-year-old daughter in a cannabis-induced psychotic frenzy, a court heard yesterday.

John Miller, 38, spared their other daughter, aged four, because she was a ‘true Aryan with blonde hair and blue eyes’.

The family had a ‘last meal’ together at home and watched Coronation Street before Miller – a drug abuser who had smoked skunk cannabis for years – erupted in violence as teacher Sarah Laycock, 31, was putting the girls to bed.

He said he heard voices in his head and was told by ‘electrical signals’ to kill his family members, Leeds Crown Court was told.

Miss Laycock was thrown downstairs and killed by Miller in the kitchen. She was stabbed 19 times – once through her eye – with a knife before being hit four times in the face with an axe.

Male Pastor Mysteriously Develops Breasts, Sexually Abuses Church Member

The founder of House of Manna Global Ministries Church, Apostle Tizora Kaitano, is on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 24-year-old neighbour he had invited for prayers.
The 40-year-old pastor is facing charges of aggravated indecent assault.
According to report, Kaitano invited the complainant to his house. When the man entered the house, Kaitano told him not to tell anyone what would have transpired in the room, threatening him with death.
The accused said Kaitano took a bottle of water and sprinkled the house before he took some oil and rubbed it on his forehead and he lost consciousness but before he lost consciousness, he watched Kaitano growing breasts.
The complainant was said to have later regained consciousness while the pastor was sexually assaulting him. He grabbed his clothes and ran away, the state alleges.

However, a physical examination on the pastor yesterday revealed that he had fully grown breasts.
The inspection, done in camera, was ordered by magistrate Mr Fadzai Mtombeni following the allegations.
Kaitano in his defence said he developed breast-like mounds as side effects from a tuberculosis medication he was taking since September last year. Kaitano told the court that he was ready to have the court check him to clear the complainant’s suspicion.

Comic Yoruba actor Tayo Babatunde Bernard popularly known as Baba Tee's marriage to London based writer, Yetunde Oduwole has reportedly collapsed.

The yoruba movie industry is bereaved once again as one of its actresses, Falilat Okerede Oketayo has reportedly passed away.

This is coming not long after they lost two other people. First it was the death of a 32-year-old Jane Atayero-Oluseye, followed closely by that of veteran actor, Pa Ola Ogungbe and now this one.

Falilat who is a member of the Association of Theatre Arts Practitioner of Nigeria, ANTP, in Ogun State reportedly died on Tuesday at her residence in Sagamu, Ogun State.

According to report, she died after a brief illness.

She is survived by two children, an aged father and siblings.

She was described by ANTP in Ogun State as a versatile, energetic and confident actress.

Nigerian Actors Fighting Over Pa Kasumu’s Treatment Money

Some Nollywood stars under the umbrella of ANTP (Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners) are currently fighting over a whopping N600,000 donation made by a business tycoon in Ogun State.

According to Movie Moment, an anonymous business man recently donated the aforementioned sum for the treatment of ailing Yoruba actor Kayode Odumosu alias Pa Kasumu however, the donation has caused non-stop chaos among his colleagues.

The bone of contention is on the amount to be given to the actor out of the N600,000 since the money was donated under the leadership of the association.

Furthermore, a group of Nollywood practitioners that consists of production crew and veteran acts under the name of ‘committee of friends’ were said to have approached Pa Kasumu over creating a new account in which donations would be made but met a brickwall from the Odumosus.

As we speak, the total sum of N5.5m has been donated to actor Kayode Odumosu by Lagos and Ogun state government to fund his treatment.

The Odumosus have refused to comment on this controversial issue.

35-Year-Old Man Nabbed With Live Snake, Charms, Fake $237,700

A 35-year-old, Aliyu Mutairu, was on Tuesday arraigned at an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court for illegal possession of a live snake, charms and fake 237,700 dollars.
The prosecutor, DSP Promise Akanwa told the court that the accused was caught with a box containing a live snake, black soap, white clothes, one black pot and two live ducks among other items on Oct. 22 at 5.00 p.m. at Mobarajo Village, Ifewara near Ilesa in Osun.

He also had in his possession 2,377 pieces of 100 dollar bills suspected to be fake with the same serial numbers which he intends to inject into the nation's economy.
According to Akanwa, the offence contravened Sections 160 (a), 213 (b) and 430 (1) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The accused is facing a three-count charge of felony, possession of criminal charms and fake currency.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
Counsel to Mutairu, Mr W.A. Idowu, urged the court to grant him bail.
In his ruling, the Chief Magistrate, Olusola Aluko, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
He said the sureties should reside within the court’s jurisdiction and also provide three years tax clearance as part of the bail conditions.
The case was adjourned to Dec.12 for mention.

Lagos Building Collapse: ‘How N50 Saved Me From Death’

For Saka Ismaila, he will never stop being nice in his life, as his kindness saved him from possible death.
Ismaila is one of the artisans that worked at the four-storey building that collapsed on 8, Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on Monday.
He said while others on the site are working, he went to give a food vendor, who forgot her N50 with him when the building collapsed.
The artisan said though he was broke, he would not just want to spend someone else’s money, adding that he was returning to the site when the incident occurred.
No fewer than five corpses were recovered from the collapsed building while 25 others were rescued.

However, Imaila said: “I will never stop doing good in my life. I went to give the Amala seller her money and as I was rushing back to the site, it collapsed. The woman sold food for me but forgot to collect her money, so I ran after her to give it to her.

The violence that erupted between the youths of Oke-Odan in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State and security agents in the area has left two persons dead on November 4, 2013, Monday.
Irate youths in the town, a community along the Sango/Ota-Idiroko Road, had allegedly engaged policemen and operatives of the state anti-crime military security outfit, Operation MESA, in an exchange of fire over the killing of a member of the community, Yinka Falola.
The violence, which had entered its third day on November 6, Wednesday, culminated in the alleged reprisal killing of a police Inspector, Kolapo Lasisi, by some rampaging youths, who also burnt down two police vehicles and allegedly vandalised 12 others.

An eyewitness, who spoke to The Punch on conditions of anonymity revealed that the violence broke out on Monday afternoon when a police officer attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad from Zone II, Onikan, Lagos, Inspector Olusesan Sounde, allegedly shot and killed 30-year-old Falola.
According to the eyewitness, the FED-SARS inspector had allegedly slapped Falola, who was riding on a motorcycle on his way from the farm where he had gone to assist his elder brother.
The late Falola, who used to be a driver, was said to have retaliated, infuriating the police inspector, who allegedly cocked his rifle and shot him on the neck.

Man Stabs His Friend To Death For Sleeping With His Wife

A middle-aged man identified as Wasiu Yusuf has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his bosom friend, Adeolu Olatoye, to death for having clandestine relationship with his wife.
It was gathered that the incident which occurred at Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta, Saturday night, was reportedly carried out by the suspect and one accomplice identified as Mukaila, said to be on the run as at the time of this report.
It was further gathered that the suspect lost his temperament when he reportedly caught his 32 -year-old friend with his wife on the day of the incident on his matrimonial bed.
The suspect, according to the findings, laid siege for the victim who reportedly came to his house, and in the ensuing scuffle,the victim erroneously stabbed himself.
But another version of the story had it that, the victim had gone to his friend’s house to drop an invitation card of his mother’s 80th birthday scheduled for Saturday when the friend attacked him with bottles.
Adeolu, a graphic artist, met his death barely two weeks after he held the naming ceremony of his child.
His remains had been deposited at the State Hospital Mortuary at Ijaiye, Abeokuta, as police await the autopsy report.
Contacted, Ogun State Police Command Public Relations, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident and arrest of the suspect, adding that investigation was ongoing.
Speaking, the deceased’s elder brother, Akinyemi Olatoye, said he was shocked over the development, explaining that his late brother had gone there to drop their mother’s birthday invitation card.

Married Man & Girlfriend Killed By Generator Fume In Ebonyi State

Mr Nweze, a 45-year-old married man and his girlfriend, one Ogechi have met their untimely death in Ebonyi State.

The two secret lovers were found dead in the bedroom unclad at Okposi Achara in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The deceased, Nweze was said to be married with children and resident in Ondo State but came back home for a burial when the incident happened. Neighbours suspected that the deaths could have been caused by fume from a generating set which was on until police came in the morning.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr. Sylvester Igbo, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), who confirmed the incident, said the woman also had children with her estranged husband before she died.

“The woman was a wife to another man with whom she had three children although it appeared they had an estranged relationship, while the man was married and lived in Ondo State but came home for a burial. He left the wife and children in Ondo State.

In his media chat with a team of journalists in September this year, President Goodluck Jonathan declared his government’s commitment to end the logjam with the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, by effecting the changes demanded by the lecturers. This followed an earlier directive to the Federal Government’s negotiating committees, the Universities Needs Implementation Committee and the Earned Allowances Committee, to take immediate action to end the ASUU strike.

Chairman of the needs committee, Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State, told journalists after a meeting held by the President with the committees, “The President has instructed us as to what to do, and has shown commitment to flagging off projects worth about N100 billion in all the Universities in the country! About 61 of them. He gave assurance that the lecturers would call off the strike in no distant time.

According to recent reports, a 16-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted by some unknown men in Ogun state.
The young girl, has been reportedly hospitalised after she was allegedly molested to coma on Monday.
The attack occurred at 8pm when she was on her way back home from where she was sent on an errand.
