AWESOME: Woman, 60, Gives Birth To TWINS After Losing Her 29-Year-Old Daughter

A Chinese woman has spoken about giving birth to IVF twins and becoming the country’s oldest mother at 60.

Sheng Hailin decided that she wanted to become a mother again after her daughter, 29, was killed by carbon monoxide poisoning in 2009.

In a rare move for the country which enforces a one child policy, a military hospital in Heifei agreed to to give Mrs Hailin and her husband IVF treatment.

Mikel Obi's Brother Escapes Death

The elder brother of Chelsea star, John Mikel Obi, Ebele Obi was involved in a ghastly motor accident on Monday.

Ebele Obi who also plays for Heartland FC of Owerri was in Enugu to see his fiancée when the incident happened.

According to the former Rangers player, he was in Enugu to see his fiancée and during a drive across the town his Toyota Camry Spyder had a head-on collision with another car.

BIZARRE: Man Dragged To Court For BITING OFF Friend’s Lip (Over Beer) In Lagos

A man in Lagos has been arrested and taken before a court for assaulting his friend in a beer parlour.

Chidi Osuagwu, 31, is alleged to have bitten off the lip of one Sunday Adebayo, his friend, after the latter teased him for refusing to buy a bottle of beer.

Osuagwu was yesterday arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in the Itire area of the state.

According to Vanguard reports, the accused who resides at 13, Agboola St., Ijeshatedo, a Lagos suburb, is being tried for assault.

Terry G Attacked On Stage While Performing At His Hometown

The IBB Square, Makurdi in Benue State was thrown into confusion and disarray last weekend when the Benue youth fiesta staged there was disrupted as a popular Nigerian musician, Terry G, the crooner was performing on stage.

The musician hails from the state.

The Benue fiesta, which attracted hundreds of youth, including men and women was was organized by the member representing Guma/Makurdi federal constituency, Barrister Emmanuel Jime, who is known to be nursing gubernatorial ambition in 2015.

Couple Bathed With Acid In Osun State.....

Doctors are battling to save the eyes of a banker in Ile Ife, Osun State, Mr. Tope Akinlabi, and his wife, Mulikat, who were bathed with acid by some yet-to-be-identified people.
It was learnt that Tope and his wife were returning home on foot after the close of work on Monday, December 16, when two men riding on a motorcycle met up with them and emptied the content of a jerry can on them.
Tope was said to have gone to his wife’s shop at the Eleyele area of Ile Ife after he closed from work on the fateful day.

"I Strangled My Son Because I Had No Baby Sitter"-20 Year Old Mother Confesses

A 20-year-old woman, Titilayo Odedele, has told an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court that she strangled her two year old child, Opeyemi, because she could not afford a babysitter for him and said she had no one to help her take care of the child after she was impregnated and thrown out of her parent’s home.

Women Groups Protest The Violent Torture Of Two Ejigbo Women

Women advocacy groups today marched in protest against the violent torture and sodomization of two women at Ejigbo over alleged stealing of pepper. They presented the horrible clip of the sodomy to participants during the protest and also presented copies of the video in cds to members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, who were also handed a petition demanding investigation and justice for the affected women.

The reps received the protesters and promised to move a motion today and set up a committee to immediately commence investigation into the incidence. The reps said chairman of the Ejigbo local government, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan; all the market women in Ejigbo central market as well as all concerned in the incidence will be called to the panel. Kidnappers Refuse To Release Ex Super Eagles Player's Father After Paying Ransom

Nearly a month after kidnappers seized the 83-year-old father of a former Super Eagles player, Chikelue Iloenyosi, in Anambra State, the victim has yet to regain his freedom.

The victim, identified as James, was kidnapped on November 25, 2013.

Following the kidnap, his family was contacted after which N50m ransom was demanded.

It was learnt that after negotiations, the family paid the kidnappers an undisclosed amount over two weeks ago.

LEADERSHIP gathered that but for the absence of the former leader from the country, an inter-departmental team of the nation’s security apparatus was on the verge of visiting Obasanjo in Abeokuta or at his farm in Otta, Ogun State on the mission, which a source called “routine”.
